TDT Introduces New Used Car Inspection Packages

We surveyed, We Polled, We Listened to What You Said!
When we first launched Test Drive Technologies in July of 2009 we started out just test driving cars for $50 each for people before they bought them to help them make a decision on which vehicle was best for them… We also at that time had 2 other packages to choose from which were “levels of inspection” called Gold & Platinum. Over the years we thought we thought it was best to have a single over the top type of inspection for everything. What we came to learn was…. WE WERE WRONG. After polling over 1000′s used car buyers across the country on LinkedIn we were told that people would rather have the option of opting out of certain areas of our inspection… This is what we did.
The #1 thing we heard in our survey was that you didn’t always need a full body, interior and frame inspection but you still wanted to know the vehicle’s true mechanical and electrical condition… WE GOT IT! We created a “Mechanical Only Inspection” which covers the engine, transmission, electrical systems, options and we then LIFT the vehicle to check the DRIVELINE, SUSPENSION, STEERING & BRAKES. You still get photos of anything mechanically that needs repair / attention for backup and proof and you save some cash too.
We created our “Basic Auto Inspection“for those consumers that found a low mileage vehicle that is in good shape and that they know to be free of any prior accidents but want a piece of mind the car is what the dealers says it is… It includes a basic body, interior, option verification and of course a test drive.
The next package we created called the “Unleaded Auto Inspection” is for those vehicles that have low mileage but have a little bit of history showing up on the vehicle history reports. This inspection includes a body examine, interior inspection, option verification, FRAME inspection and a test drive.
For the cars and light trucks that have some miles on them we added a mechanical and electrical check to the “unleaded inspection” calling it our “Premium Auto Inspection Package” which just in the last few weeks has become our number one seller. It includes a body & interior inspection, option verification, frame check, full engine, transmission, driveline, suspension, steering, brakes and electrical inspection of the vehicle. We actually LIFT the vehicle at all four corners to provide you with the best hands-on inspection in St Louis.
Now because we provide services to those looking in the St Louis area from across the nation and pond we also offer our ultimate, unlimited “Full Octane Inspection” which includes everything which is a body & interior inspection, option verification, frame check, full engine, transmission, driveline, suspension, steering, brakes and electrical inspection of the vehicle. We also provide an “unlimited” number of photos, HD Video of the body & all the options working. The Full Octane Inspection also comes with our Titan Certified Oil Sampling & Certification process for extra protection of our clients after their purchase.
Regardless of which auto inspection package you choose you can always upgrade and get the extra protection that the Titan Oil Sampling and Certification provides for just $100…
Some of the big corporate nationwide auto inspection companies don’t listen to their consumer base but here at TDT we understand where you come from, what you are buying and why you need our services… We are honored to be St Louis’s #1 Choice for Mobile Auto Inspections and look forward to providing you with any auto inspection services you need in the future.
2001 Toyota 4Runner Used Truck / SUV Inspection in Saint Genevieve, Mo

This 2001 Toyota 4Runner has been well kept over the years and has had some of the upper mileage routine maintenance done to it such as a new radiator, O2 sensors and possible a new water pump & timing belt (but these could not be verified) The vehicle’s tires still have 75% of tread-life remaining but are showing signs of an alignment needed which should also include a replacement of the balljoints at the same time as a preventive measure and to save a bit of money down the road. This truck does show some signs of some other areas that need addressed such as a leak coming from the right rear of the valve cover on the engine, a leak coming from the top left side of the transmission housing which is forming droplets and some slight play in the right front CV shaft.
The interior of this vehicle is what you would expect out of a 11 year old truck that has had some moderate use. There are some minor wear spots, the seats show as aged leather, a worn spot in the driver’s floor mat from heal wear and a scratch in the rear seat bottom. The body of the truck is in above average shape with normal pitting & chips in the front glass along with some road rash on the front bumper and hood.
All features except the dash clock were working at the time of inspection.
