What is Your National Auto Inspection Company Giving You?

Who’s Looking Under Your Carriage Before You Buy It?

TDT Mobile Auto Inspector Guy - St LouisMany national auto inspection companies are hiring lease return inspectors to perform their mobile auto inspection services across the nation. This is a growing problem in the industry with companies such as Alliance Inspection Management (AiM) , LemonSquad, National Auto Inspection Services (NAIS) & even CarChex… Some of these companies are hiring private contractors that they have never met, are not properly trained, lack the full skills to diagnosis a vehicle and are doing inspections in just 30 minutes. These auto inspection companies are doing a quick cosmetic check of the body & interior and only making sure the switches and buttons on cars are actually working… Oh yes.. they are also checking for leaks… These above mentioned companies are failing to lift a vehicle off the ground & putting their hands on the cars to check the undercarriage, suspension, steering, brakes, driveline and other critical areas of the vehicle. These national auto inspection companies are relying on a 5 mile test drive of the vehicle to tell you about the vehicle’s most important wear items such as balljoints, brake pads, swaybar links, cv shafts, driveshafts, tierod ends & much more that can’t fully be examined unless the vehicle is lifted at least 3 inches off the ground and pressure removed from the vehicle…

Here at Test Drive Technologies we lift every used car & light truck where it sits to put our hands & eyes on all of these critical components that can cost you $1000′s in auto repairs in just the first few days after your purchase.

Here are a list of our friends in the auto inspection industry that lift cars onsite.

I have always promoted a pre-buy inspection and asked the buyer and seller to split the cost. The cost increased as the price of the vehicle and the complexity of the inspection escalated. The ones that did it were informed and there was no guess work when the vehicle was purchased. Money was set aside for the noted upcoming repairs and everybody was happy. The ones that opted out ended up with JUNK about 85% of the time.
